After almost 20 years of management in corporate America, Sharon suddenly realized
that life was passing her by. "I was busy making plans for things that might
not ever happen." It was during a management meeting in a beautiful resort setting
that the fog finally lifted. With time for reflection and relaxation built into
the agenda, Sharon's long walks on the beach enabled her to sort some things out
and see into the future. She made up her mind on that trip to make some changes
in her life... to take deliberate steps to live a life full of purpose and passion,
and savor the journey – every step of the way.
The first step in Sharon's decision to live life by design was to find a place where she could really live. Not just a house or a subdivision, but a place that offered a lifestyle. She wanted a place filled with natural beauty, wide open spaces, and water. Relatively new to the upstate of South Carolina at that time, a friend told her about Lake Keowee. All it took was one visit, and Sharon knew that this was where she wanted to be. She set her sights on making it happen, and has never looked back.
